5.2 Hardware Diagnostics (LED)
The following section contains a description of the LED and their meaning for both the CPU
module and the PS69-DPM module.
5.2.1 CompactLogix
The following table shows the possible LED indications of the CompactLogix CPU.
No task(s) running; controller in Program mode
One or more tasks are running; controller is in the Run mode
One or more input or output addresses have been forced to an On or Off state,
but the forces have not been enabled.
Recoverable controller fault
Non-recoverable controller fault:
Cycle power. The OK LED should change to flashing red.
If LED remains solid red, replace the controller.
No activity; no I/O or communications configured
Communicating to all devices
One or more devices not responding
Not communicating to any devices
controller faulted
5.2.2 MicroLogix 1500
To identify problems via possible LED indications of a MicroLogix 1500 controller refer to the
MicroLogix 1500 User Manuals section "Troubleshooting Your System". Here you will find a
detailed description of fault indications and possible reasons.
